Your Vision Your Twickenham Survey
Results updated 9 May 2017
Thank you to everyone who took part in the consultation. The responses will be used to refresh the Village Plans and to draft Village Planning Guidance which will be consulted on in Summer 2017.
Overview
London Borough of Richmond upon Thames (LBRuT) would like Twickenham residents, businesses and community groups to help with improving the Twickenham Village area. This will include helping to shape:
- How current Council policy impacts on planning and development and how best to maintain and enhance your areas character
- Aspirations for your community that contribute to its character and feel to make it a desirable place to live such as strengthening opportunities to get involved or tackling isolation for the elderly
The current Village Plan can be viewed at
http://www.richmond.gov.uk/home/my_richmond/village_plans/twickenham_area_village_plan
The plan includes a vision for how the area will develop in the future. It also identifies key issues, priorities and opportunities in your area, and ways to get involved.
This is the first stage of consultation when we would like your views on your local area and community today and for the future. Your feedback will be used to update the Village Plan and to inform the development of a Supplementary Planning Document (SPD) which will help to define in more detail the character of different areas of Twickenham. This is a formal planning document which will need to be taken account when making decisions on planning applications.
For the areas of Twickenham that will be covered by the SPD please see the consultation material published alongside this survey. The second stage of consultation will focus solely on the SPD for Twickenham and will take place later in 2017 before it is adopted.
