Thanks to all those who gave us their views. You can read Enable’s report on key findings and next steps here.

Overview

Wandsworth Council would like to hear your views on creating a new pocket park on Swaffield Road. The Council would invest £400,000 and all local residents would be able to enjoy full access to the new park. This would include improvements to the green space which currently forms part of the Brocklebank estate.

The new pocket park would contain a playable landscape along with sustainable planting for wildlife, benches and bins. A new path would lead through the site and the boundary would be changed to give views in and out along Swaffield Road. We want to create a place that enhances your health and wellbeing and provides doorstep play.

We have developed three different options, and we would like to hear your views.

We have created “style palettes” to show you how each option could look and each option shows a different layout. We would like to know which is your preferred layout and if there are elements of the style palette, among the other options, that you prefer.

Any pocket park here would have entrance gates on self-closers at both public entrances, would protect and include the mature trees, would include seating, bins and surfaces that aid sustainable drainage.

Secure access to the residential properties surrounding the park will be retained. The space will be maintained and managed by the council’s grounds maintenance contractor just like all our other greenspaces.

Please see our FAQs here for more detail on these and other aspects of the project.
