Your Vision Your Hampton Wick Survey

Closed 27 Jun 2016

Opened 20 May 2016

Overview

London Borough of Richmond upon Thames (LBRuT) invites Hampton Wick residents, businesses and community groups to help update the Village Plan and to prepare Village Planning Guidance for Hampton Wick and Teddington village areas.

Please read through the consultation material here, before having your say and completing the online survey.

The current Hampton Wick Village Plan was created in 2011 following the All in One suvey of 2010 and can be found here . The  plan is made up of your local vision for how the area will develop in the future. It includes key issues, priorities and opportunities in your area, identifying ways to get involved and useful information on how the Council and residents can work together to deliver these priorities.

The Village Plan Guidance for Hampton Wick and Teddington wil be a formal planning policy document (Supplementary Planning Document or SPD) which will need to be taken into account when making decisions on planning applications. It will impact on planning and development as well as identifying the areas that need to be maintained and enhanced in your areas character[1] and conservation areas.

By filling out this questionnaire you can  help to create new Guidance for Hampton Wick and Teddington as well as refresh your existing Village Plan so as to:

  • Make Hampton Wick a desirable place to live in
  • Strengthen opportunities to get involved in the local community
  • Reduce isolation and loneliness

This is the first stage of consultation.  Your feedback will be published in Autumn 2016 on the website listed above.

The second stage of consultation will focus solely on the Village Planning Guidance: Supplementary Planning Document for Hampton Wick and Teddington will take place during late Summer - Autumn 2016 before it is adopted in early 2017.

The material will also be displayed at the drop-in events on 21 May and 11 June 2016. See key dates on the right for full details.

You can also attend the walkabout sessions on 22 May and 19 June 2016. See key dates on the right for full details.

Please complete the survey by the 27 June 2016 when the consultation closes.
