  • Proposal to introduce Pétanque pistes to Kneller Gardens

    The Parks Team at Richmond Council, with the support of the Friends of Kneller Gardens and local councillors, are proposing to introduce a Pétanque piste (terrain) to Kneller Gardens. Pétanque, known in France as 'boules,' is a game played on gravel surfaces. Pétanque is an inclusive sport for everyone, including wheelchair users.   • Consultation on proposals to unlock Richmond borough parks

    From 1 September 2024 until the 30 November 2024, the Parks Team coordinated a Parks Unlocking Trial across ‘locked’ sites. This was done to assess the impact of opening these sites to understand if potential savings could be made. Posters were installed on each site for the duration of the trial and residents were asked to provide feedback or report any issues to the Parks Team.
