Battersea Park Management and Maintenance Plan Survey

Overview

Wandsworth Council is developing a long-term plan for how Battersea Park is managed and maintained. We want to hear from people who use the park so that we can understand what works well, what could be improved, and how we can protect and enhance the park for future generations.

Working with our partners, we are preparing a new management and maintenance plan that will guide the care of Battersea Park up to 2037.

Battersea Park covers 83 hectares and includes sports facilities, historic features, wildlife habitats, children's play areas, and open spaces. The park is used in many different ways – for walking, running, cycling, commuting, relaxing, meeting friends, and enjoying nature.

For the purposes of this work, the park has been divided into 13 zones, as shown on the map below.

The new plan will help guide future decisions about the park and set priorities for investment and maintenance. It will also help ensure Battersea Park retains its Green Flag Award and remains resilient to the impacts of climate change.

As part of this work, we are looking at a range of issues, including biodiversity, accessibility, wayfinding, and the effects of population growth and climate change on how the park is used.

You can help shape the future of Battersea Park  by completing our survey. We would like to hear how you use the park, any issues that affect your enjoyment of it, and any improvements you would like to see.

We will carefully review and consider all feedback received through the survey. A summary of the findings and information about the next steps will be published on this page.
