Kew Village Plan Review Consultation

Closed 7 Apr 2014

Opened 28 Feb 2014

Overview

The Council would like your views on the issues and proposals covered in the Kew Village Plan Review. Have your say by completing the online questionnaire by 7 April 2014

The Village Plan reflects community needs, aspirations and activities that the community, Council and partners will work together on to shape and deliver. This could include tackling isolation of the elderly, strengthening opportunities to get involved, improving green spaces or planning school places.

As part of this process the Council has also developed a draft Supplementary Planning Document (SPD) for Kew. Follow the link below to find out more about the SPD for the area and how to have your say on it.

Why your views matter

Local residents took part in a public event and walkabout that was held in Kew at the end of 2013 involving around 60 residents. There was also an initial survey that was completed by 25 respondents. The information from the survey and these events has been fed into the Kew Village Plan Review Consultation Document.

We would like your views on this document before it is finalised.  What is not covered are some of the more detailed suggestions and ideas that have already put forward.  These are being looked at as part of the Council’s on-going work on Village Plans.

 How to get involved

Please read through the village plan review consultation document below before completing the online questionnaire by 7 April 2014.

In addition the Council is holding a ‘Drop-In’ session where you will be able to view and discuss both the Kew Village Plan Review Consultation Document and SPD. The drop-in session will be:

  • When: 10:00am to 4:00pm on Saturday 22 March 2014
  • Where: St Anne’s Church, Kew Green, TW9 3AA

A Leaders Question Time event will be held on 6 March 2014 at St Winifred’s Church Hall, 7pm – 9pm. There will also be a stakeholder event in January and targeted outreach sessions running between January and April 2014.

What happens next

The consultation results and the final Kew Village Plan will be published on this page by the end of September 2014
