Overview

Improving the education of children with special educational needs (SEN) is a key priority in the Children and Young Peoples Plan. It is part of an investment programme to provide better resources for all children in Richmond borough. The consultation leaflet (see below) sets out proposals to improve the provision for children with SEN in Richmond upon Thames mainstream primary schools.

We are proposing that we will provide more specialist help for those children with the greatest special needs and build on the existing expertise of teachers in Richmond upon Thames' mainstream schools, current units and special schools.
