Rivermeads Estate Traffic Reduction Scheme
The Council received a petition earlier this year from residents of the estate requesting measures to remove through traffic. In response to the petition, the Council carried out traffic surveys in February 2024 to monitor speed and volume. These surveys showed that the current traffic volumes, most notably during the 7am-10am morning peak period, trigger the current Council policy for intervention measures of 200 vehicles or more/hour.
