Wandsworth Park Improvements Phase 1 Consultation and Information Sharing

Closed 7 Jul 2021

Opened 26 May 2021

Overview

Following the recent public toilet refurbishment and new landscaping and access improvements in Wandsworth Park, Wandsworth Council now want to hear your views about plans for improvements to Wandsworth Park Junior and Toddler Playground, bringing the Council’s investment in this green space to over £300,000 in recent years. The new play equipment will have to be appropriate for the age range of intended use. For Wandsworth Park Junior and Toddler Playground the intended age range is for children up to 16 years old.

The aim of this initial consultation is to help us understand what you think of the current playground, if and how you currently use this facility and how you think it could be improved.

We also want to take this opportunity to inform you about a project started in Spring 2021 to create a wildflower meadow at the west end of Wandsworth Park to enhance local biodiversity. Further details about this project and how you can get involved are included in the online survey.

What happens next?

Once this consultation has closed, all of your feedback will be carefully considered, and three playground designs will be drawn up. We will then consult you again on those choices in autumn 2021.

Have your say

You can access the online survey below, but if you would like a paper copy or another format, please contact us at parks@enablelc.org or call 0772 511 4053.

In case you are not able to visit the playground during the consultation period, photos of the existing playground can be viewed here.
