Wandsworth Park Playground Phase 2 Consultation

Closes 16 Jun 2024

Opened 3 May 2024

Wandsworth Council wants your help choosing the final design for the new Wandsworth Park Junior and Toddler Playground. £241,500 has been allocated via the Wandsworth Local Fund to refurbish the playground, bringing the council’s investment in this green space to over £300,000 in recent years.

The first round of consultation held between May and July 2021 helped us to understand what local residents think of the current playground, if and how they currently use this facility and how they think it could be improved. Based on the feedback we received, three potential playground designs have been developed here. These playground designs each include realigned fencing to the west of the existing playground and one option shows one piece of equipment located outside of this new playground fence. If this option is chosen this item will require an additional footprint of 20m x 4m in this part of the park, removing that area from more general uses.

This second stage of consultation asks you to comment on and rank the three different designs. Your feedback will help us choose between the different designs, so that we can create a playground that best serves you.

What happens next?

Once this phase of consultation has concluded, all of the feedback will be carefully considered to decide on the final design for a refurbished playground.

Whilst every attempt will be made to construct the final design exactly to plan, certain elements may have to be altered during the implementation stage due to unforeseen technical or logistical issues.
