Shillington Park Improvements Phase 1 Consultation

Closed 30 Jun 2021

Opened 19 May 2021

Overview

Following Wandsworth Council’s investment of £2.3m in Falcon Park, the Council now want to hear your views about plans for improvements to Shillington Park (next door to Falcon Park). The proposed works include:

  • Refurbishment of the junior and toddler playground: The new play equipment will have to be appropriate for the age range of intended use. For Shillington Park Junior and Toddler Playground the intended age range is for children up to 12 years of age.
  • A new outdoor gym concentrated into a single area: The existing outdoor gym items will be removed once the new gym is installed and the ground returned to amenity turf.
  • Planting to enhance local biodiversity

The aim of this initial consultation is to help us understand what you think of the current playground and outdoor gym, if and how you currently use these facilities and how you think these facilities could be improved, as well as your thoughts on the proposal to enhance planting to benefit biodiversity.

What happens next?

Once this consultation has closed, all of your feedback will be carefully considered, and three designs will be drawn up. We will then consult you again on those choices in autumn 2021.
