Nine Elms Residents Pre ULEZ Survey

Closed 13 Aug 2021

Opened 9 Jul 2021

Overview

The area around Thessaly Road has received funding for improving air quality. The Business Low Emission Neighbourhood (BLEN) provides an opportunity to drive healthier neighbourhoods through green infrastructure and active travel.

Funding from the BLEN will enable the Council to support businesses and residents in the area to reduce their impact on air quality whilst complying with the extended Ultra Low Emission Zone (ULEZ) requirements coming into force in October 2021.

In addition to the BLEN, Wandsworth Council are making improvements to the area of Thessaly Road by providing safe cycle and walking routes, additional trees and planting, and implementing a controlled parking zone which will reduce the number of vehicles in the area.

This survey is an accompaniment to the survey directed at businesses within the BLEN. This survey aims at looking at vehicle usage associated with residents ahead of the expansion of the ULEZ on 21st October 2021 and to help identify possible interventions to improve air quality.
