Wandsworth Local Flood Risk Management Strategy Consultation

Overview

Wandsworth Council is updating its Local Flood Risk Management Strategy, and we need your input.

The Local Flood Risk Management Strategy (LFRMS) identifies flood risk and how it is managed, as well as identifying the roles and responsibilities of risk management authorities. 

An initial LFRMS for the period 2014-2020 was published in 2015. The LFRMS should be updated on a 6-year cycle to capture all of the work that has been progressed in the interim period and changes to industry policy and regulation. The draft LFRMS has been edited to encorporate the updated Surface Water Management Plan, and the Environment Agency’s (EA) new National Flood and Coastal Erosion Risk Management Strategy and Action Plan.

Accompanying each LFRMS is a 6-year Action Plan detailing actions which the Lead Local Flood Authority and partner stakeholders should undertake in order to manage flood risks in the local area and increase resilience to flooding.

It is vital we get your feedback on this document to ensure it meets the needs of those who will use it.
