DEVELOPING OUR LOCAL SEND PROVISION – INVITATION TO VIEW THE PROPOSAL FOR REPURPOSING THE BROADWATER SCHOOL SITE

As part of the Council’s commitment to support children and young people with SEND and their families locally, we are proposing to construct a new and expanded SEND (Special Educational Needs and Disabilities) provision for Paddock Secondary and Sixth Form School on the former Broadwater School site.

The proposal will deliver a £20m, high-quality, 192-place provision that will not only better meet the needs of Paddock pupils, parents and staff but also create a further 64 places for children with similar needs on the Broadwater Primary School site, with effect from September 2025. The design team and Local Authority have been working with the school, its governors, pupils and other key stakeholders to develop the proposals.

We would like to invite you to give us your views about the proposals. There are two ways in which you can do this:

1. Come to an informal drop-in event at Broadwater School, Broadwater Rd, SW17 0DZ  on Wednesday 14 June between 5pm and 7pm

The proposals will be on display for you to view, with members of the Design Team alongside representatives from the Council available to discuss the presentation information, and to receive and respond to your queries. Feedback forms will be available at the event so you can give us your views about the proposals.

2. View the proposals online here and give us your views by clicking on the Feedback Form link below by 7pm on Wednesday14 June.

If you have any questions or if you need any support to give us your feedback, please contact us on broadwaterconsultation@richmondandwandsworth.gov.uk or call 020 8871 6000.
