West London Waste Plan - Proposed Sites and Policies Document
Overview
Consultation was carried out on the West London Waste Plan (WLWP), Proposed Sites and Policies document. The "Proposed Sites and Policies Consultation Document" includes a set of sites which are thought to offer potential for future waste management proposals, together with a set of draft policies which will be jointly used by the six boroughs to determine future planning applications for waste facilities up to 2025.
The document is part of the Local Development Framework. CAG consultants will be carrying out the programme of consultation on behalf of the six West London boroughs which make up the West London Waste Authority and who have joined together to plan for their future waste (Brent, Ealing, Harrow, Hounslow, Hillingdon and Richmond upon Thames).
The Consultation Document and online survey were available on the West London Waste Partnership webpages. Any WLWP queries contact wlwp@richmond.gov.uk.
What happens next
The six boroughs will undertake further site assessments. The boroughs will then shortlist the sites and provide justification if any are to be removed. Once the sites have been reviewed, the boroughs are to forward the assessment onto Mouchel Consultants to begin the Site Deliveryability Assessment.
