Vine Road park improvements

To work with the local community on whole site improvements.

What happens next

What has happened as a result?

Various elements of the park were identified as requiring upgrading.  The work that followed included:

- resurfacing existing hard standing, footpaths and around the paddling pool

- creating a new footpath to the play area

- returning a section of footpath to grass in order to create a 7-a-side football pitch

- upgrade of park furniture and installation of new bins/benches and picnic tables

- tree work and hedge reduction

- creation of a wildflower meadow along perimeter.

The whole site upgrade was successful and a Friends of Vine Road group has been proposed
