Community Roads & Pavements Fund 2015
Results updated 20 Oct 2017
The Council received over 1200 nominations this year and are currently evaluating the most common suggestions to ensure they are affordable, practical and do not form part of existing planned work. The final selection will be approved by the Cabinet Member for Highways and Streetscene. We will publish details of the approved suggestions in May 2015 and work will begin from July 2015.
UPDATE
The roads which will receive the funding have now been published - please visit http://www.richmond.gov.uk/fund for more details.
The next round of nominations is planned to open in early 2016.
Overview
Help decide how £35,000 is spent in your local area – nominate now!
In the All in One survey, residents highlighted the condition of roads and pavements among their top concerns. In response, the Council aims to make available £490,000 to pay specifically for community nominated improvements.
The fourth round of funding is now open for residents to nominate more roads and pavements they feel are in need of extra work. This is in addition to the regular maintenance work being carried out.
In the last round of nominations in early 2014, over 1,900 people took part and many neighbours joined forces to suggest repairs to their local area. Each village receives £35,000 and local residents choose where this should be spent. The money may be spilt up to address a number of issues within each village.
How can I make a nomination?
Please read through the guidance information on the Community Roads & Pavements Fund website before submitting your nomination.
Submit your suggestion for your village area online below or fill in a paper copy, available at the Civic Centre or any local library. You will be asked to confirm your name and address as only local residents will be eligible to take part.
The closing date for nominations is 22 February 2015.
