Overview
The Council has published the draft Refuse and Recycling Storage Requirements Supplementary Planning Document (SPD) for public consultation from 9 February to 23 March 2015. This SPD supersedes the existing ‘Recycling for New Developments’ Supplementary Planning Guidance (SPG), which was adopted in 2004.
The draft SPD provides up-to-date guidance on the provision, design and location of refuse and recycling storage for residential, commercial and mixed-use developments, as well as guidance on bin areas and waste containers.
The information contained within the guidance will be useful for architects, developers, landowners and others concerned with providing recycling and refuse storage facilities for premises within the London Borough of Richmond upon Thames.
