Radnor Gardens parks improvements
Overview
To work with the Friends of Radnor Gardens group on improvements to the site, as part of the Council's borough wide Parks Improvement Programme.
What happens next
Following consultation with the Friends of Radnor Gardens group, various elements of the Gardens were identified as being in need of updating.
What has happened as a result?
The Radnor Gardens project is now complete, with another newly landscaped park in the borough.
Works included:
- resurfacing and realigning footpaths with DDA compliant 1.6m wide tarmac paths
- upgrade of park furniture and installation of new bins/benches
- repair and painting of perimeter fencing and gates
- rockery and some other beds were stripped back and will be replanted in the autumn with a new planting scheme
- new trees and shrubs will be planted in the new flower bed by bowls pavillion.
In 2010, a Green Flag was awarded to the Gardens for the first time.
