Proposed Traffic Management Scheme in Stanley Road, Twickenham
Overview
Richmond Council has received complaints from residents in Stanley Road, between South Road and Hampton Road, about access and congestion problems caused by parked vehicles.
In view of these complaints local investigations and studies have been undertaken and the Council proposes the following ideas as a solution:
- Two new lengths of double yellow lines in Stanley Road [say where using landmarks]
-
Introducing a new Community Parking Zone (CPZ) to prevent displacement of parking to the adjacent area
The Council is consulting residents in the area (please see map in related documents and zoom right in) in order to establish the level of support for the ideas proposed and identify the extent to which people feel these solutions would be effective in reducing problems with access and ease congestion.
The results of this consultation will be reported to the Cabinet Member for Highways and Street Scene in order for a decision to be made on whether to implement the new double yellow lines and/or whether proposals for a new CPZ should be developed for more detailed consultation with residents in this area.
