Closed 24 Sep 2010

Opened 6 Sep 2010

Overview

This survey was carried out with parks users across the borough to find out how satisfied they are with various aspects of the parks service.  The results will also be used to build a profile of users, including why and how frequently people visit, and to inform future service delivery.

The survey was carried out onsite at parks (from 6 September to 17 September).  A fuller version of the survey was also available to complete online. The deadline for completing the online survey was extended to 24 September 2010.

What happens next

total of 256 park users left feedback as part of the survey. The results have been collated and report strong performance across the borough. Overall satisfaction levels among park users stood at 90%, with improvements reported to the maintenance of parks and litter removal. The full results are available in the summary report.

The results will feed into the development of the Council's Open Spaces Strategy. The findings will also be taken forward by the parks and open spaces team in drafting their Events Strategy. Issues regarding individual parks will be passed to the parks team for consideration and action as appropriate.
