Overview

As part of the Council’s continued commitment to improve our parks and open spaces, the Council and Friends of Moormead Recreation Ground are proposing to introduce a new outdoor gym that will be suitable for both those with mobility issues and able-bodied users. The gym will be situated next to the playground as shown below:

We propose that the equipment will include a mixture of static and moving items. These items have not yet been finalised, so we encourage respondents to leave any suggestions in the comments box for consideration. The surface of the gym area will be replaced with a suitable safety surface material, depending on the final pieces of equipment that are chosen. Examples of the equipment we are looking to install is as follows:

What happens next?

All responses will be carefully considered before a decision is made by the Chair of the Environment Committee on whether to go ahead with the installation of the outdoor gym.
