Richmond Local Plan - Consultation on Proposed Main Modifications
Overview
The Government's aim is for every area in England to have an adopted local plan. A local plan sets out local planning policies and identifies how land is used, determining what will be built where.
We are in the final stages of developing a Local Plan review for Richmond, which will set out new policies and guidance for the development of the borough over the next 15 years.
Following the 'Examination in Public' hearings earlier in the year, the Planning Inspector has proposed a number of changes to the Local Plan (Publication version), known as ‘Main Modifications’, which he considers are necessary to make the Plan ‘sound’ and/or legally compliant. These are subject to public consultation until 2 February 2018.
You can read more about the preparation of the Plan and find all the details of the current consultation, including how to respond, on the Local Plan webpage.
