Ham and Petersham Walking and Cycling Survey

Closed 31 Mar 2021

Opened 5 Mar 2021

Overview

Richmond Council have been working with the Ham and Petersham Neighbourhood Forum to better understand walking and cycling to, from and within Ham and Petersham. We recognise that Ham and Petersham have a unique geography that provides outstanding access to open green spaces but limits your travel options.

We are currently looking at opportunities to improve conditions for walking and cycling in the area, focusing on local trips within Ham and Petersham but also looking at how we can improve connections to Richmond and Kingston. We want to ensure that any improvements have real benefits and address the issues and concerns that you have about walking and cycling in the local area.

There are certain things that we know are obvious answers to some of the issues in Ham and Petersham – a new bridge to Twickenham, widening the A307 Petersham Road, more and better buses – but the current climate does not allow us to tackle these problems. At this time, we want to know about the small improvements that can make a big difference.
