Hampton Hill Area - Parking Review

Closed 20 Mar 2022

Opened 17 Feb 2022

Overview

The Council is undertaking a parking review in the Holly Road/Park Place area of Hampton Hill.

This review is being undertaken following the submission of a petition from residents of Holly Road, Park Place and Myrtle Road requesting parking controls. It is understood that some residents have faced difficulties in finding a parking space near to their home due to non-residents parking in the area (including all day commuters and/or short and long stay parking). A Controlled Parking Zone (CPZ) can alleviate these difficulties.

We are now seeking feedback from you, the residents and businesses within the boundary shown on this map, on whether you would like to see a CPZ introduced.

Should a CPZ be introduced, residents, their visitors and businesses wishing to park on street during the operational times of the CPZ will be required to purchase / display a valid parking permit. You would not be able to purchase a permit if you live in a property subject to a S106 Planning Agreement which restricts or prohibits the issue of permits. Details of the parking permit prices from 1 April 2022 are as follows:

Have your say

Please give us your views by completing the online survey below.

If you are unable to complete the survey online and you would like a paper copy of the questionnaire, please call 020 8871 8929 leaving your name and address including the postcode and quoting ‘Hampton Hill Parking Review’ and one will be posted out to you with a postage paid return envelope.

What happens next?

Please note that the responses will be analysed over the whole area as well as on a street-by-street basis meaning that a CPZ could be introduced in some roads and not others if appropriate.

The Council would like to demonstrate that any measures have the support of residents so a good response is very important, although the Council will not base its decision on residents’ wishes alone.

All feedback to this consultation will be considered by the Council along with all relevant traffic management and other highway factors, prior to a decision being made on the way forward.

Further information on this consultation/review can be viewed here, and information on CPZs and parking charges can be viewed by visiting our webpage or by calling the Customer Service Centre on 020 8891 1411.

Finally and separate to this consultation, please be informed that we are aiming to undertake line marking works in this area in Spring 2022.  This will include a refresh of the footway parking exemption markings in Park Place and Myrtle Road. These works will require some temporary parking suspensions in sections of each road at a time as we progress the works.  Every effort will be made to keep the disruption to a minimum.
