Green Flag Awards - Management Plans

Overview

The awards represent the National Standards for Parks and Open Spaces in England and Wales. More information is available at the link below. 

Each site must have a management plan in order to enter the Green Flag Award scheme. Consultation was carried out with the community on management plans for ten sites across the borough.

What happens next

What has happened as a result?

The final management plans are available below. Green Flags were awarded to the following sites in 2010:

- Twickenham Green

- Hatherop Park

- Palewell Common and Fields

- York House Gardens

- The Kings Field

- Terrace Gardens and Buccleuch Gardens

- Richmond Green

- Radnor Gardens

- Kneller Gardens.

The parks section will continue to work with local societies and Friends groups and are committed to being receptive to concerns and suggestions voiced individually or through community groups.
