Draft Richmond Climate & Nature Strategy (2025-2030)
Overview
We have developed a new draft Richmond Climate & Nature Strategy (2025-2030) which is now open for public consultation until Monday 5 May.
Our strategy has been developed through listening to the views of our residents via our surveys and interactive map on Commonplace, as well as multiple resident and stakeholder workshops in 2024. At the heart of its development was also an innovative ‘Community Reporter’ methodology designed to expand our outreach and listening capacity across our borough.
The new draft strategy incorporates wider interconnected ecological crises, responds to an appetite within the borough to take more collective action, ensures our interventions are fair on residents, in particular those more at risk from the impacts of climate change, and ensures we are in a better position to adapt and build a more resilient borough to the effects of climate change.
This strategy is in draft form for consultation. The final New Richmond Climate & Nature Strategy will be published in June 2025.
