Chase Green Review 2014

Closed 23 Feb 2014

Opened 31 Jan 2014

Overview

As part of our ongoing commitment to improve the borough’s parks and open spaces Richmond Council is proposing to review the play space in Chase Green.

Chase Green is the small open space between Redway Drive and Godfrey Avenue, next to Chertsey Road (A316).  It has a fenced-off hard surface area for ball games and a surrounding grass area mainly used for dog walking.  There is a possibility of improving the space and we are keen to ensure that Chase Green meets local needs.

We are keen to hear the views of both children and adults who do and do not use Chase Green and invite you to take part in this survey.  The information you provide will help us to:

  • understand how the park is used and by whom
  • understand what is important to you
  • ensure it continues to meet local needs

There are a number of ways you can give us your comments:

  • You can speak to the representatives from Children's Play Advisory Service who are experts helping the Council with play space development and improvement.  They will be in Chase Green on Saturday 1st February 1 – 2pm and will have identification.  Children will have the opportunity to be consulted by being interviewed in the presence of their parents/carers
  • By completing and submitting the online questionnaire
  • Paper copies of the questionnaire will be delivered to houses in the area of Chase Green and will also be available at Chase Green on Saturday 1st February 1-2pm.  If you would prefer to complete the questionnaire at home you can post it using the post paid envelopes provided.

Please submit all completed questionnaires by 23rd February when the consultation closes.

The information you provide will inform decisions about the way forward for improving this open space.  Please do let us have your thoughts and thank you for taking the time to be involved.  If you would like more information please contact us at parks@richmond.gov.uk
