Building Control satisfaction survey 2009/10

Highlights from the results included:
- Among those surveyed after a completion certificate was issued, satisfaction relating to response time in dealing with a Building Regulations submission rose 10 percentage points since 2008 to 91%. Ease of contact with the office also improved from 87% to 93%.
- 100% of builders and those using the street naming and numbering service were satisfied across a range of aspects.
- Feedback from those who were surveyed after decision notices were issued to agents highlighted some areas for improvement.

Overview
In order for the Building Control department to improve its services we are continually reviewing the service we provide to our customers. Your feedback is very important to us and will help us to continue improving our service.
We instituted a process of customer surveys from January 2005 when a survey form was sent out with every
(1) Completion Certificate and targeted householders/home owners, and this is a continuous service.
The other customer surveys we now carry out include:
(2) A builders survey
(3) A Street Naming and Numbering survey
(4) After Decision Notice issued - to Agents.
