Overview

In 2008, the Council implemented the Teddington Controlled Parking Zone (CPZ), Zone T operating Monday to Friday, 8.30am to 10.30am.

Since its implementation, the Council has received feedback on the CPZ from residents, including requests for its operational days/hours to be increased and for roads outside its boundary to be incorporated into the CPZ.

In recent years, the operational days/hours have been increased in part of the CPZ in Christchurch Avenue, Waldegrave Road and part of Station Road.  Also, the CPZ has been extended to part of Udney Park Road. The hours of operation in Waldegrave Road are 10am to 4.30pm Monday to Friday.

The Council is now reviewing this CPZ as part of a wider review of parking in the Teddington/Strawberry Hill areas see plan here.

We are seeking feedback from residents and businesses within the CPZ on its operation including whether you would like the operational days/hours retained or changed.  As part of this review, the Council will also be considering other improvements to the CPZ to include access to local amenities and a possible revision of zone boundaries.

If you feel that the existing CPZ’s operational days/hours are sufficient in providing parking protection to the community then the Council will consider your view on this accordingly.  However, if you feel that the CPZ’s operational days/hours should be changed/increased due to non-residents parking when the CPZ does not operate, a range of options for change are provided here.

The current parking permit costs and options for operational times are below.  The prices are for the 1st permit per household/business for one year.  An increased rate applies to subsequent applications. Some properties may be subject to a S106 Planning Agreement which restricts or prohibits the issue of permits.

Resident visitor permits

Resident visitor permits (scratchcards) currently cost £13.85 per book of ten half day permits.  These are half price to the over 60s. The permit must be validated for the relevant time period.  One permit, correctly validated, would be required for one full day’s parking in a CPZ that operates for two to four hours. Two permits would be required for zones operating for more than four hours a day.

Please note that the above parking charges are reviewed annually.
