Proposed ward name changes

Overview

This consultation came about following legislation on Community Involvement, Engagement and Representation. The consultation exercise was in response to requests to rename the following wards:

• Hampton Wick Ward to Hampton Wick and South Teddington Ward
• Fulwell and Hampton Hill Ward to Hampton Hill and North West Teddington Ward.

The consultation was conducted via an online consultation form, and was publicised via: posters on community noticeboards and at libraries; advertisement in Richmond & Twickenham Times and printed leaflets. Notices were sent to Community Groups and also to LBRuT staff and Councillors (by email and/or post).

N.B. The dates of consultation listed in Council documents were revised as the above requests were accepted in July and August. The consultation ran from 1 July to 11 September 2009.
