Overview

The London Borough of Richmond upon Thames (LBRuT) would like residents, businesses, community groups and organisations to help create planning guidelines for the Old Deer Park Conservation Area.

The development of a specific Supplementary Planning Document (SPD) for the Old Deer Park will help to ensure that any prospective developments on these sites are sensitive to the historic attributes of the Park whilst supporting the important recreational/sporting/community activities within the Park.

Public events and walkabouts that were held in Summer 2015 and an informal consultation on ideas for the Old Deer Park took place in Autumn 2016. The information from these events have fed into the development of the draft SPD.

This is the formal stage of consultation where we would like the views of residents and key stakeholders on this document before it is finalised. The final version of the SPD, taking account of consultation responses, is expected to be adopted in the early part of 2018.

Please read through the draft SPD and other supporting documents before completing the online questionnaire below. Responses should be submitted by Monday 22nd January 2018 when the consultation closes.

The Consultation material can also be viewed at a number of locations in and around the Old Deer Park, and there will be representatives of the Council available at certain times during the consultation who you can speak to. Information on places and times can be viewed below.

The Council encourages anyone with appropriate facilities to respond electronically. However, if you would like a paper copy of the questionnaire please contact us at consultation@richmond.gov.uk or 020 8891 1411. Paper responses should be returned to Policy and Design, London Borough of Richmond upon Thames, Civic Centre, 44 York Street, Twickenham, TW1 3BZ.

You can also email your comments to LocalPlan@richmond.gov.uk These will also need to be received by Monday 22nd January 2018. Please read through the material provided before completing either the survey or emailing your comments.
