In 2009, 402 home care users took part in the survey in Richmond. The results of the survey showed a 12% increase amongst home care users who are extremely or very satisfied with their homecare since 2006.

When looking at the results of the survey against those of the other 31 London boroughs, Richmond scored highly on several aspects of home care, including having the second highest score in London for both carers being on time and always seeing the same care workers. The full set of London borough results to all nine measures can be found in the following home care survey benchmarking report.

Overview

In 2008/09 the council arranged homecare for 1,440 vulnerable residents in the borough. 484,000 hours of homecare were delivered by 19 different homecare agencies.

Nine aspects of home care were measured throughout the survey.
