St Mary Magdalen's Expansion - pre planning consultation 2010

Overview

St Mary Magdalen's RC Primary School in Mortlake is to undergo construction to provide two classrooms as part of the LBRuT Primary School expansions programme. These will provide additional school places for the increasing number of children living in Mortlake.

Consultation Event

A consultation event was held on Tuesday 6 July 2010 from 5.30pm - 8.30pm at St Mary Magdalen's RC Primary School (Worple Street, Mortlake, SW14 8HE) to provide information and capture views. The event provided information on what the proposed enlarged school will look like and the project timescale.

What happens next

There were 17 parents and residents at the event. The feedback provided through the feedback forms was generally positive towards the proposals, with many feeling that it was an innovative design which has minimal impact on the existing outside space. 

What has happened as a result?

A planning application was submitted following the consultation. In addition to the planning application, a traffic assessment was also undertaken to plan access arrangements for the contractors if the plans go ahead.
