Chase Bridge Primary School - pre planning consultation 2010
Overview
An initial consultation drop-in session was held at Chase Bridge Primary School on 23 April 2010 from 2pm to 7pm to provide attendees with detailed information on proposals to develop the site. Members of the design team, the Council's project manager, the headteacher and a school governor were available to explain the scheme and discuss specific areas of interest with members of the public.
What happens next
Although many more were present, approximately 60 people from the local community (including parents, teachers, local residents and governors) completed attendance forms and questionnaires. The outcomes were generally very positive, with strong support for the expansion and refurbishment and strong approval of the proposed appearance and general benefits to the school. The key concern raised by local residents was a possible increase in school traffic.
What has happened as a result?
The comments and concerns raised were passed onto the design team for consideration prior to submitting a planning application.
