No Wrong Door Service Mapping Survey
Overview
Background
Drug, alcohol and mental health problems are often co-occurring rather than separate problems to be addressed independently. National guidance requires us to provide an integrated, person-centred approach across services.
What do we mean by the No Wrong Door Standard?
The No Wrong Door Standard aims to ensure that people with co-occurring mental health and alcohol/drug use needs receive a compassionate, co-ordinated response regardless of their ‘door’ into services.
It is based on the principle that no one should be turned away, passed between services, or expected to navigate complex systems alone. Services work together to identify needs early, provide appropriate support, and help people access the right care through collaboration, shared responsibility and warm handovers.
Purpose of this survey
Richmond and Wandsworth are working with local partners to strengthen support for people with co-occurring mental health and alcohol or drug use needs. We would like to understand the different ways organisations currently come into contact with and support people, what is working well, and where clearer pathways or additional support may be helpful.
This is not an assessment of individual services or organisations. Services have different roles, responsibilities and levels of specialist expertise. Your information will help us build an accurate picture of the local system and identify practical opportunities for organisations to work together more effectively.
Who do we want to hear from?
Representatives of the following types of service across Richmond and Wandsworth:
- Primary care
- Mental health service
