Overview

London Borough of Richmond upon Thames (LBRuT) wants residents and businesses to help with improving the Hampton Wick and Teddington Village areas. This includes helping to shape village planning guidance that the Council will consider when deciding on planning applications, both for new development and changes to existing buildings.

This is the formal stage of consultation when residents and businesses are being asked about their views on the character of their local area today and for the future, as set out in the Draft Village Planning Supplementary Planning Document (SPD). The final version of the SPD, taking account of consultation responses, is expected to be adopted in early 2017.

Please read through the draft SPD before completing the questionnaire. Consultation will run from Friday 28th October and responses should be submitted by Friday 9th December 2016 when the consultation closes.

The Council encourages anyone with appropriate facilities to respond electronically - please complete the online survey below. However if you need a paper copy of the draft SPD document or the questionnaire please ring 020 8891 1411 or email LocalPlan@richmond.gov.uk

Paper responses should be returned by Friday 9th December 2016 to Policy and Design, London Borough of Richmond upon Thames, Civic Centre, 44 York Street, Twickenham, TW1 3BZ.  

Why your views matter

Local residents took part in public events and walkabouts that were held in Hampton Wick and Teddington in May and June 2016. The information from these events and questionnaires has been fed into the draft SPD. We would like your views on this document before it is finalised.
