Thank you to those who responded to the consultation. For all updates and decisions please go to the Transport Planning web pages here.
Overview
A petition has been presented to the Council by some residents of Dalebury Road SW17. The petitioners requested the re-designation of the CPZ (currently 11.30am to 12.30pm, Monday to Friday) to operate ‘all-day’, i.e. 9.30am to 4.30pm, Monday to Friday, the same as in Crockerton Road.
The reason for submitting this request was to address the difficulties they experience finding a space after the one-hour control has ended due to non-residents parking in the road.
Given the level of support indicated by these representations, and an investigation by officers, the Council has approved a consultation with residents to consider your views on parking conditions and on amending the CPZ operational times in the D2 roads.
The D2 sub-zone is highlighted in green on the map below and at the bottom on the page you can go to our 'Locations of Parking Zones' webpage which has additional information.
The council is also carrying out a consultation with residents in the D3 (outer) sub-zone, north of Upper Tooting Road and Balham High Road, to ask for their views on the possibility of extending the days/hours there to 9.30am to 6.30pm, Monday to Saturday.
Increasing the hours/days of control to ‘all-day’ will not affect the cost of, or require you to obtain a new, resident (or business) parking permit.
However, pay and display machines would need to be installed in the road and your visitors would be required to display an ‘all-day’ resident visitor permit or pay and display ticket (virtual/paper) when parking during the extended controlled hours/days. Information on CPZs including parking permit charges can be found on the Council’s website: http://www.wandsworth.gov.uk/parking
Your views will help inform the decision on whether to make any changes to the CPZ operating in your road (D2). We would also like to hear from you if you do not own a vehicle as parking controls can affect your visitors.
YOUR VIEWS ARE IMPORTANT TO US: Please complete the online survey below by Monday 18 December 2017. If you would like a paper copy of the document or the survey, or you live outside of the consultation boundary, please contact us at consult@wandsworth.gov.uk
The Council would like to demonstrate that any change has the support of local residents so a good response is very important. All feedback to this consultation will be considered along with all relevant traffic management and other highway factors, prior to a decision being made on the way forward.
Further information including updates on this consultation, can be viewed on the Parking Reviews webpage or by emailing parking@wandsworth.gov.uk
